Scientist must be a sweet man….if you think about it he designed Chester, so Chester must be what he wishes to be, but cant because of the way he was brought up and all the random things that make us human
@Conzeit
That’s what I’ve been saying, he programmed Chester, he pleased his wife at the beginning, he wants it to be like it used to be and she’s spurning him.
Yet, he made her the perfect lover/love, the one he refused to be himself – and then he treats her like that, SELLS her love, gives her a cheesy excuse and think that everything can be alright just like that?
Things are never that easy. Love once spills if often never to regain again. Sad sad truth.
You can’t forget that the Scientist is acting out of heartbreak. Yes, he’s being irrational and, frankly, downright mean to his wife… but this wasn’t how he expected things to work out, and maybe he just can’t handle it the decent way.
If the scientist designed the robot, why didn’t he just build her a vibrating dildo? Then when he was actually in the mood they could use it together?
Honestly, I’m trying to see this from HIS vantage point, but it’s difficult since he wouldn’t have much of an excuse for acting like such a dick.
@Paxie
Look at it from his point of view. He made his wife a toy. And she was openly in love with that toy and chose this toy over her husband. Just remember a time when someone you loved chose someone else over you. Wouldn’t you have liked to send this other person away and make everything like it was in the beginning? He never refused to be the perfect lover, but no one can be the perfect lover EVERY night. He is only human with limits, but because he loved his life and wanted to please her he made her a toy to keep her satisfied when he could not.
