I think maybe a lightbulb just went on in his head. “It feels so nice to be held by this woman since my own woman won’t have anything to do with me…oh…wait….”
@Ninez: Agreed. I don’t blame the guy for being angry at his wife being emotionally unfaithful – but I blame him for not attempting to understand why it happened, making several stupid decisions (including selling Chester) and then expect things to go to normal.
I blame them both… him for making stupid decisions and not thinking to talk things out, her for not understanding that her husband IS only human and has other responsibilities (character profile says it all – “demanding job”), so he CAN’T fulfill her needs at all hours but wants her to be satisfied, but she doesn’t realize that this doesn’t mean he doesn’t still love her. He’s just incredibly tired and cranky.
Demanding job or not… relationships are important and you can’t just brush off your wife every single day and night… how much neglect can she take? It takes a toll on her

I think Robert still has Chester’s heart. Getting it back could prove awkward…

Good for you, a brief moment of weakness. Now get back to your wife and TALK to her.

Frankly, I say they both should split the blame.
